There Is More To See: Into The Islands of Santorini!
Below is the aerial videography I have made in the islands of Santorini! During my stay there, I enjoyed it so much because the islands do not have much specific rules yet in regards to drone laws, but it only follows the rules governed by the european union and the hellenic rules as well. There were less tourists during the season. See below and enjoy my journey to the islands of Santorini along with the captured aerial videography.
The video above has been considered one of my masterpieces in terms of aerial videography!
The Zuid Kennemerland Park
Good day everyone! About 2 years ago I was so fascinated with aerial videography. And that’s the reason why I studied the basics of aeronautical engineering because I wanted to fly. But don’t worry, only the basics! This is my journey and my passion towards aerial videography.
This journey also entails that I do need to acquire license to fly drones. With this requirement, I enrolled at the Drone Fight Academy and thereby pass the theoretical examination. And surprisingly, It was the Dutch government who linked this examination into acquiring and giving me the license fly drones or operate drones remotely.

This is the aerial view of Zuid Kennemerland National Park through the lens of my DJI AIR 2S in Overveen, The Netherlands.
My Top 3 Drone Moves
These are my top 3 drone moves I have collected from my aerial drone footages to include the ones in Zandvoort aan Zee. The DJI mastershots and point of interests are the main commands I have utilised for this video.
The best drone footages I have captured so far were the ones in Luxembourg. On our way to the Vianden Castle of Luxembourg, together with my friends from the Philippines, the roadway and the path going there were so breath taking. That moment was so exquisite that we took a side trip and capture some footages.
The below video represents that moment when we were so ecstatic about the scenic view of Luxembourg on the way to the Vianden castle.
Aerial Videography: Capturing the World from New Heights
Aerial videography has transformed how we see and document the world. With advancements in drone technology and other aerial imaging tools, this innovative art form has found applications in various fields, from filmmaking and journalism to real estate and environmental studies. By providing a unique vantage point, aerial videography has become an indispensable medium for storytelling, scientific exploration, and creative expression.
The Evolution of Aerial Videography
The journey of aerial videography began with traditional aircraft and helicopters equipped with cameras. These setups were expensive, logistically demanding, and accessible only to large-scale productions or organizations. The advent of drones in the early 21st century democratized aerial imaging, making it affordable and user-friendly for professionals and hobbyists alike. Today, drones equipped with high-resolution cameras, stabilizers, and advanced flight controls have brought aerial videography within reach of small businesses and individuals.
Applications of Aerial Videography
1. Filmmaking and Photography:
In the entertainment industry, aerial videography is a game-changer. It enables filmmakers to create breathtaking scenes, capturing expansive landscapes, dramatic action sequences, and dynamic perspectives that were previously unimaginable. Iconic films and documentaries now use drones to craft stunning visuals that elevate storytelling.
2. Real Estate and Architecture:
Aerial shots are increasingly used in real estate marketing to showcase properties, giving potential buyers a comprehensive view of the land, surrounding areas, and structural details. Architects also use aerial footage to analyze and present their designs within their environmental context.
3. Environmental Monitoring:
Conservationists and researchers use drones to monitor wildlife, track deforestation, and survey natural disasters. These tools allow for real-time data collection from previously inaccessible areas, minimizing human intervention in fragile ecosystems.
4. Travel and Tourism:
Aerial videography enriches the travel industry by highlighting scenic destinations in ways that inspire awe. Travel vloggers and tourism boards often rely on drone footage to promote their offerings, capturing stunning shots of beaches, mountains, and cityscapes.
Challenges and Ethical Considerations
While aerial videography is a powerful tool, it comes with challenges. Regulatory restrictions on drone usage vary by region, requiring operators to follow strict guidelines for flight paths, altitudes, and privacy. Moreover, ethical considerations, such as respecting the privacy of individuals and wildlife, are critical to maintaining responsible practices.
Future Prospects of Aerial Videography
With rapid advancements in technology, the future of aerial videography is exciting. Innovations such as AI-powered drones, enhanced image stabilization, and extended flight times are poised to revolutionize the field. Additionally, the integration of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies could create immersive experiences, allowing viewers to explore aerial perspectives in entirely new ways.
Conclusion
Aerial videography represents a fusion of technology and creativity, offering unprecedented ways to explore and document the world. Its ability to deliver fresh perspectives has reshaped industries and inspired new artistic possibilities. As technology continues to evolve, aerial videography will undoubtedly remain a pivotal tool for innovation and storytelling.
